Terms and Conditions

1. Definitions


1.1. “Company” refers to Alfa Agencies, the provider of air and sea freight services.


1.2. “Customer” refers to any individual or entity utilizing the services provided by the Company.


1.3. “Cargo” refers to any goods, products, or items entrusted to the Company for air and sea freight services.


2. Booking and Documentation


2.1. Customers are responsible for providing accurate and complete information for booking and documentation purposes.


2.2. The Company reserves the right to refuse service if the provided information is incomplete, inaccurate, or non-compliant with international regulations.


3. Cargo Acceptance and Handling


3.1. The Company will accept cargo according to its capacity, weight restrictions, and compliance with safety regulations.


3.2. Hazardous materials and prohibited items are not accepted unless prior arrangements and approvals have been obtained.


3.3. The Customer is responsible for proper packaging and labeling of their cargo.


4. Freight Charges


4.1. Freight charges are based on factors such as cargo weight, volume, distance, and mode of transport.


4.2. Payment terms, methods, and due dates will be specified in the invoice provided by the Company.


4.3. The Customer is responsible for any additional charges related to customs duties, taxes, or storage fees.


5. Insurance


5.1. The Customer may opt to purchase cargo insurance for their shipment. The Company can provide information and assistance in arranging insurance, but it is the Customer’s responsibility to make the final decision.


5.2. The Company is not liable for loss or damage to cargo unless caused by its negligence.


6. Delivery and Transit Times


6.1. Transit times are estimated and not guaranteed. Delays may occur due to factors beyond the Company’s control, such as weather, customs procedures, or transportation disruptions.


6.2. The Customer is responsible for monitoring the progress of their shipment and making necessary arrangements for timely receipt.


7. Liability and Claims


7.1. The Company’s liability for loss or damage to cargo is limited to the terms and conditions of the applicable transportation laws and conventions.


7.2. Claims for loss, damage, or delay must be filed in writing with the Company within a specified time frame, as outlined in the Company’s claim policy.

7.3. In the event of loss/damage where the client has not arranged insurance. the maximum compensation available is 60% of the amount paid by the customer for freight of the item lost/damaged.


8. Customs Clearance


8.1. The Customer is responsible for providing accurate customs documentation and ensuring compliance with all relevant customs regulations.


8.2. The Company can assist with customs clearance, but any costs, penalties, or delays arising from incomplete or inaccurate documentation are the Customer’s responsibility.


9. Force Majeure


9.1. The Company is not liable for any delays or failures in performance caused by events beyond its control, including but not limited to natural disasters, strikes, wars, and government regulations.

10. Governing Law


10.1. These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in United Kingdom.


11. Amendments


11.1. The Company reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at its discretion. Customers will be notified of any changes in advance.


By utilizing the services provided by Alfa Agencies, the Customer agrees to adhere to these terms and conditions. It is important to carefully read and understand these terms before engaging in any air and sea freight services with the Company.
